The Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire, the official non-profit partner of the NH Fish and Game Department, announces the addition of two new board members.

Scott R. Jackson of Loudon has a passion for the outdoors and sharing that passion by teaching others. A licensed NH Guide and Registered Maine Guide, Scott was born and raised in the north woods of Maine, and began hunting, fishing and trapping at the age of 8.  After graduating from college with a degree in aviation, Scott fulfilled his lifelong dream and moved to Alaska.  The next 10 years were spent flying the Alaskan Bush, repairing airplanes, hunting, fishing, and trapping in the last frontier.  In 2004 the desire to return to New England moved the family back to NH. Today, Scott stays busy as a business development executive for several companies, is a partner in Great North Woods Guide Service, and is a Citation Jet captain for Kollsman Inc. in Merrimack, NH.  Scott’s passion for teaching students led he and his wife Barbara to found the New Hampshire Outdoor Learning Center in 2010 where Scott teaches Certified Master Outdoorsman Classes.

Robert M. Pope of Londonderry is an avid angler, hiker and skier. Growing up, his family spent summers in Moultonborough, and after attaining the distinction of Eagle Scout, Bob was on staff for 10 years at Scout Camp Quinnapoxet in Rindge, NH. He and his wife Michele are active in their children’s hockey, lacrosse and gymnastic programs.

Bob has spent 23 years in retail, the past 8 years with Bass Pro Shops, and is the General Manager of the Bass Pro Shop in Hooksett, NH. Active in helping set up the Operation Game Thief Program at NH Fish and Game, Bob’s love of the outdoors is coupled with his advocacy for the stewardship of NH’s wildlife heritage and making it available for children or all ages to learn and experience.

Board Chair Steven White states “Both of these experienced professionals are a valuable addition to our Board. Their expertise in marketing and strategic planning, together with their passion for both the enjoyment of the NH outdoors and the conservation of wildlife, will serve the Foundation well as it grows and strives to meet the increasing needs of the NH Fish and Game Department.”
