2019/2020/2021/2022 Discover Wild NH Day Grant
Discover Wild New Hampshire Day – The Wildlife Heritage Foundation funds the annual Discover Wild NH Day event hosted by NH Fish and Game and sponsored by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of NH.
2020/2021/2022 Image Stabilizing Binoculars
Law Enforcement Image Stabilizing Binoculars: Fund purchase of image stabilizing binoculars to be used by officers that patrol and surveil on the water. The binoculars cancel the roll of waves making it easier to surveil. 2020 & 
2021 binoculars were purchased for District 2 to patrol the Lakes Region and in 2022 binoculars were purchased for District 3 to patrol Lake Sunapee, Newfound Lake and Moore Reservoir.
2022 NH Fish & Game Grants
Inland Fisheries Hatchery Biosecurity Grant: Three(3) power washers purchased for Berlin & New Hampton fisheries to ensure cleanliness of tanks to reduce risk of contamination.
NH BOW Scholarship Grant: Awarded funding for two(2) scholarships for the 2023 NH BOW (Becoming an Outdoor Woman) 3-day weekend workshop.
Law Enforcement Unmanned Aerial System: To help the establishment of a NHF&G UAS team (Unmanned Aerial System) the Foundation awarded funds to purchase an unmanned aerial system (drone) that will use drone technology to provide area support for SAR, assist with study of game animals, apprehending OHRV violaters & poachers.
Great Bay Discovery Center Viewing Scope:Replace a 20 year old non-coin (free) viewing scope on the osprey observation platform and interpretive signs for the Wildlife Garden.
Wildlife Division Prescribed Burn Program: Funds awarded to purchase equipment that will improve capacity for prescribed fire implementation to conserve and manage wildlife habitat across NH.
2021 NH Fish & Game Grants
New Hampton Hatchery Operational Improvements: Create a permanent fill station for stocking trucks to increase efficiency when performing equipment sterilization, fish stocking and hatchery to hatchery transfers of fish.
Law Enforcement Canoes: Fund the purchase of canoes for each District 4 conservation officer for use in search and rescue missions and routine patrol.
Law Enforcement Dive Team Equipment: Fund purchase of waterproof latex day glove systems, Sea Hunter Mark II metal detector and GoPro cameras.
Law Enforcement Night Vision Monocular & Accessories: Purchase 2 sets of night vision monocular devices with a mount and helmet to be used by District 3 officers to apprehend hunting & fishing violators.
2020 NH Fish & Game Grants
Law Enforcement Dive Team Boat – Dive team boat for the southern part of NH for use by the dive team and for patrolling. Boat, motor, trailer, electronics and additional equipment.
Law Enforcement Boat Electronics – Depth finder and plotter replacement for District 2 dive team boat
Law Enforcement Hybrid Trailer Project – Two hybrid snowmobile/ATV trailers for District 6. Mobile enclosed trailer designed to house both snowmobiles and ATVs. Allows for machines to be protected from weather, road salt etc. Also allows for prevention of rodent damage.
2019 NH Fish & Game Grants
White Mountain Fritillary Incubator – The White Mountain fritillary is a glacial relict – a butterfly species endemic only to the White Mountain National Forest alpine zone. Objective of the grant is to increase survival of captive raised White Mountain Fritillary larvae to perform critical research on their host plant requirements.

OHRV & Snowmobile Safety Program – Replenish safety and promotional equipment to educate children and adults in OHRV & snowmobile safety.
Law Enforcement Boat Electronics – Depth finder and plotter replacement
Inland Fisheries Scientific Data Collection -The purpose of this project is to collect data on various fish populations, predominantly wild brook trout and their habitat, in an effort to preserve and protect these species, as well as prioritize and restore their environment. The purpose of this grant application was to purchase necessary equipment for scientific data collection. The foundation purchase equipment required for this project
Dive Team Equipment – Update/replace some equipment used by the Law Enforcement’s Dive Team. The objective of this project is to purchase new top and bottom insulation layers (heavy and lightweight styles), 6 dive lights, and a communications intercom. The purchase replaces equipment that is obsolete and at the end of its life span. The updated equipment is key to protect the dive team and to aid the team in their Search and Rescue efforts.
Berlin Hatchery Young’s Raceway Covers – Build a series of raised permanent enclosures to provide a non-lethal protection from predators, reduce fish inventory loss, reduce unintentional disease introduction, improve safety precautions on the grounds and improve water quality of Young’s effluent.
Wildlife Data Collection Tablets – Purchase tow iPad Pro 11-inch and two iPad mini devices with internal GPS and shockproof, water resistant cases. Needed for field worker’s data collection.
Vertical Pollinator Garden Exhibit – Exhibit at the Great Bay Discovery center of an expandable green wall that has a two-fold purpose. First, to employ green features on the campus to inspire visitors to incorporate similar ideas in their own homes and landscapes. Second, by having the Vertical Garden outside the Great Bay Discovery Center in can be used as an example for a workshop that will teach participants how to build their own living walls outside of their schools and ways to incorporate this into their curriculum. The wall was completed in June of 2020. Plans for workshops are underway.

2020 – 2022 Durant Fund Education Grants
2021 Marine Division Interpretive Exhibit – The NH Fish and Game Division, located in Region 3, receives numerous visitors. This project will fund an update to an aged and underutilized conference room attached to the reception area. The area will serve as a welcoming and interpretive center with updated décor and added educational elements.
2020/2021 Urban Wildlife Education Program – The Urban Wildlife Education Program is in partnership with the NH Audubon Massabesic Center. In urban settings, educating youth about wildlife can be very challenging due to the lack sources and knowledge among most educators about urban wildlife. Children who participated in experiential learning projects centered on wildlife and habitats within their school grounds, increased children’s awareness, knowledge and attitudes for local biodiversity.
The pandemic made it necessary for this program to be adapted from a hands-on, in-person program to a virtual program. NH Fish & Game, in partnership with NH Audubon Massebesic Center Staff, delivered a total of 95 Urban Wildlife Programs to 700 3rd graders in the Manchester Elementary Schools between January 2020 and June 2021.

2020/2021/2022 Wild Times for Kids – Write, illustrate, print and distribute approximately 45,000 copies of Wild Times for Kids to third-sixth grade classrooms and youth groups throughout the state.
2021 Wildlife Education Project WILD books – Purchase and then provide curriculum manuals for classroom teachers and informal educators who are attending professional development trainings for Project WILD ad Below Zero Programs.
2020/2021 Schoolyard Wildlife Action Grants – Fund NH Fish and Game Schoolyard Wildlife Action grants through and existing partnership called “Schoolyard Action Grants”. Provide annual funding and support for a variety of schoolyard projects designed to connect school-age children and youth to the outdoors and wildlife. Partners include NH Audubon, US Fish & Wildlife Service and NH Project Learning Tree. 2020/2022 Nature Backpack Loan Program – Fund supplies for nature themed backpacks to be loaned out. Backpacks will be filled with maps, books, binoculars, nets, etc. to families for their visit to a town or state park. Partner with local libraries to loan out the backpacks. Pilot program in Manchester, NH. This is a collaborative project with the NH Children in Nature Coalition, NH State Parks, NH Fish and Game, Manchester Library and the Manchester Parks and Rec Department. The backpacks include bug jars, a net, nature field guides, kids binoculars and every family that checks out the backpack gets an Activity Guide and other handouts. The rollout of this program was delayed due to COVID-19 but is finally able to be implemented starting in May 2021.
2020/2021 Wildlife Education School and Community Youth Programs – Purchase supplies necessary to carry out various wildlife education programs that reach youth around the state. The programs funded include the Winter Severity Index Data Collection Program, Project WILD, Below Zero and Wonders of Wildlife Program.

2020 Video Stream Restoration for Aquatic Species Education and Outreach to NH Schools and Communities – Fund a video project and qquipment needed to help create a stream restoration for aquatic species video. The video will be used to help educate and explain the functioning of our natural world to students and the communities they reside in.

2018 Creature Feature Exhibit at Great Bay Discovery Center – Exhibit to interpret the unique biological adaptations of the horseshoe crab, their ecological significance in the Great Bay Estuary and the critical contributions they have made to human health and the pharmaceutical industry.
