Impact NH’s Outdoor Traditions

We can’t do it alone, we need your support!

Make a lasting impact today:

The Wildlife Heritage Foundation of NH is the official nonprofit partner of the NH Fish and Game Department. State funds alone can’t keep up with the growing costs of protecting our wildlife, lands and outdoor traditions that make our state special.

That’s where you come in. Your donation directly supports the programs, tools, and education that keeps New Hampshire’s wild places thriving.

A Small Organization with a Big Mission

We keep operations lean, with a small team and minimal overhead, so nearly every dollar goes directly to mission impact. All contributions are managed with transparency and full oversight, ensuring your gift supports the outcomes you care about most.

  • Although NH Fish and Game provides essential services that benefit the entire state, including wildlife management, law enforcement, outdoor education, and public safety, its operating budget is primarily supported by hunting and fishing license sales and federal matching funds. These sources don’t cover everything.

Private donations through the Foundation bridge the gap so critical programs and safety services can continue without interruption. Your support also allows us to fund important NH F&G initiatives and assist other like-missioned organizations that share our commitment to protecting wildlife and preserving New Hampshire’s outdoor traditions.

  • Every dollar is handled with transparency and accountability. The Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We adhere to federal and state nonprofit regulations, undergo annual reviews, and publish IRS Form 990 for public access. All grants to F&G or other orgs are carefully reviewed to ensure funds are used as donors intend.

  • We’re a small organization with a big mission. With minimal part-time staff and very low administrative costs, we operate efficiently so your contribution goes where it matters most.
